Billie Jeanne Paxton peacefully passed away June 28, 2022, in Payson, Utah surrounded by her loving family. She was born to William Elmer and Lucille Jeanne Haycock on July 21, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was one of ten children.
Billie graduated from Hillcrest High School and attended Salt Lake Community College and studied nursing. She and William Lee Paxton married November 22, 1968, in Reno, Nevada. They were blessed with four children: Michael, Sandra, Shanna, and Chad.
She worked as a nursing aid, care giver, and in the retail industry. Billie selflessly gave, taking communion to those not able to travel to church, and offered a fun time after by playing bingo with them. She also transported senior citizens on the bus. Billie enjoyed crafts, sewing, working in the yard, baking, cooking, and making chai.
Billie is survived by her:
- Children: Michael (Becky) Walker of Springville, Utah, Sandra (Kenny) Gurule of Orem, Utah, and Shanna Paxton of South Jordan, Utah.
- Siblings: Pixie, Vicki, Jackie, Benji, Detta, Nancy, Becky, and Gary.
- Grandchildren: Brittany, Shandy (Cody), Kendra (Tyson), Megan, Stefani, Lexie (Casey), Wil, Shailee (Koby), Charla, Danielle, Tori, Samantha, Bradley, Jeremy, and Caleb.
- Great Grandchildren: K.C., Annabelle, Rylan, Olivia, Mateo, Meadon, Colby, Shandis, Colton, and Cohen.
- Her beloved cousin, Karen Holland.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Paxton; son, Chad William Paxton; parents, William and Velma Nichol and Jeanne Carr, brother, Butch Potter, and many loved ones and friends.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
