Berton Edwin Rewis Jr., fondly known as Frank or “Bootie”, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.
Born on September 4, 1938, in Georgia, Frank lived a full and vibrant life marked by love, service, and joy.
He married the love of his life, Taska Darlene Massingill, on May 22, 1964, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Frank worked hard and ran many companies, while working for Provo City. Upon retiring from a dedicated career with Provo City, he obtained another job for fun.
He spent the rest of his free time in retirement enjoying his passions, which include fishing, hunting for treasures at garage sales, golf ball hunting, metal detecting, and serving others with a generous spirit.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Taska; daughters: Kim (Steve), Dawn (Daniel), and Becky; sons, Ron (Wanda) and Noah. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Mettie; former wife, Judith; sister, Geraldine “Gerry”; granddaughter, Courtney; great-grandson, George; great-granddaughter, McKenna; and great-great-granddaughter, Remingtyn.
Frank’s memory will forever be held in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his family, and his unwavering faith.
A visitation to honor his life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, UT 84660, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at the same location.
