On the 28th of February, 2019, Arvilla Jensen Faris joyfully returned to her heavenly home into the arms of her husband, Robert Alexander Faris.
Arvilla was born January 22, 1930 in Delta, Utah on the screen porch of the family home. She was the third child and oldest daughter of Arthur Jensen and Ruth Jeffery.
She spent her childhood days frolicking and working on the farm with her siblings, Elbert (deceased), Warren (deceased), Rex (deceased), Colene, Zelma, and Dan.
She married Robert Alexander Faris on December 18, 1948 in the St. George, Utah Temple. After their marriage they farmed in Delta, Utah for several years before moving to Spanish Fork where they lived for the rest of their lives.
Arvilla gave birth to seven children and raised one foster child as her own. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and accepted every calling that came her way.
Arvilla was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Faris; two sons, Richard Wayne and Boyd Kay; and one son-in-law, Anthon (Susan) Jones. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three grandchildren.
She is survived by five children, Susan Ruth Jones, Delta, Utah; George Paul (Elaine) Faris, Lehi, Utah; Melody Ann (Elden) Bishop, Manti, Utah; Gwen Elizabeth (John) Anderson, Chattanooga, TN; Roger David (Melissa) Faris, American Fork, Utah, She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 4th Ward Chapel, 353 East 400 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may visit on Monday evening, March 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, and on Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
