FALEPAPALANGI, ‘Apikale Tonga, aged 71, passed away April 27th, 2023, at 3:10 pm in the Utah Valley Hospital.
She was a beloved daughter of Palei Tonga & Silia Ma’u. ‘Apikale was the third child of two brothers and five sisters. In 1971 ‘Apikale married her husband Aemonde Vallera Falepapalangi. Greatly loved mother to Sione Falepapalangi (Wife: Ola), Nola Falepapalangi, Vika Penitoni (Husband: Sione), Taiamoni Falepapalangi (Wife: Palu) & Talita Saafi (Husband: Afemui). Grandmother to Abigail, Nola-May, Carrie-Anne, Emoni, Diamond, Vika, Ofa, Sione, Keilana, Palei, Talita, Afemui, Feleti & Naite. Great-Grandmother to Trey.
‘Apikale was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, getting sealed to her sweetheart at the NZ Hamilton Temple in 1973 and went on to serve a mission in Kanokupolu Tonga alongside her husband in 1976. ‘Apikale served in various callings in her ward, dedicating her life to serving the Lord.
She shared a passion with Aemonde for dancing, the two would often attend church dances. The passing of ‘Apikale has created a hole in our hearts, but we know she is at peace with our Heavenly Father.
