Anson C. Adams was born on March 8, 1987, in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent his early years there. As a young child, he was inquisitive and active, thus learning much from his life experiences. His parents could never predict his behavior, so he went with mom to all appointments, where she could keep her eyes on him. Only a few times could she take him to a friend, who would babysit him, and it was only because that friend also had a son with similar behaviors.
Anson loved swimming lessons in St. Louis, where he first learned to swim in a neighborhood pool. He also loved school, wanting to repeat and replicate at home everything he learned that day. He was the youngest of five children and learned to enjoy and depend on the relationships he developed with his older siblings: Alisa, Ammon, Paul, and Nathan.
He was active in soccer as a child, enjoying most practicing soccer with a brother. He also participated in the 4-member basketball team with all his older brothers. He continued swim lessons, using his enthusiastic and boundless energy in the pool when becoming a member of a full-time swim team. After the family moved to the northeast, he loved to rise very early to attend weekend swim meets at various locations throughout New England.
He also loved the Cub Scout Program and participated in the Boy Scout Program as used by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and appreciated outdoor activities and camping with his brothers and father.
His boundless physical and mental energy his whole life kept his parents busy as they helped him reach his goals. His youth was filled with a love of outdoors, and he enjoyed participating in outdoor service activities of varied types. He loved being of service to others and thoroughly enjoyed serving with his father in a variety of locations and ways. He enjoyed working with both his parents and particularly loved being with his siblings. He had a wonderful sense of humor and great skill of sociality.
After moving to Massachusetts, he spent school years in Andover and then came to Utah and attended high school in Spanish Fork, Utah. He loved the students and high school experience there. He continued to develop superb writing skills, and eventually he became the editor of the high school newspaper. His writing skills included creativity and skillful, interesting explanations that enthralled the reader.
He also loved the experience and the excitement of nurturing his newborn niece in Spanish Fork and loved to hold her, help her, smile, and laugh with her, and help her learn new skills. He often spoke of this niece as a sister, as he participated in her daily growth experience while living in Spanish Fork.
He continued his education in the Boston area and attended the Blaine School of Hair Design, becoming a hair stylist. He continued this career by attending advanced course work in Florida. He also developed an impressive array of computer skills. He developed skills in organizing, simplifying, and computer technology in this area; and he continued his employment in this field. He also loved being of service using these skills. He worked at various locations in the Boston area and was especially adept at positive social interactions.
Anson spent time living and working in the Malden and Everett, Massachusetts areas and loved serving in the Revere Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while he was there. He especially loved teaching children and spoke often of the compassion he felt for them.
He greeted others with an enthusiasm and a warm smile early in the morning and was excited to begin a day of work, education, and service to others. We will miss his early morning smile and excitement of beginning a new day. We look forward to seeing him on the day of resurrection, given to us as a gift by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Anson is survived by parents, Steven and Lynette; and four siblings: Alisa Herbert (Todd), Ammon, Paul (Patricia), and Nathan (Arika) who reside in Massachusetts, California, Virginia, and Utah. A grandparent and various cousins reside in Utah, Oklahoma, California, North Dakota, Texas.
Private funeral services will be held at Walker Funeral Home, Spanish Fork, Utah, on September 4, 2021 with calling hours from 10:00-10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service is for family only at Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
