Ann Lynn Burton October 21, 1944 - September 4, 2026

Ann Lynn Burton, 81, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Ann was born on October 21, 1944, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Evelyn and Denver McKitrick. She spent her childhood in Vienna, West Virginia, where she created many of the memories and foundations that would remain with her throughout her life. She graduated from Parkersburg High School in West Virginia.

Ann spent most of her adult life in Dale City, Virginia, where she lived from 1972 until 2026. She married David Burton, and throughout her life, Ann was known for her creativity, warmth, and the many things she enjoyed making with her hands.

She worked as a secretary for the American Petroleum Institute (API), E.G. & G., and Capitol Lighting. Ann took pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.

Ann found joy in sewing, crocheting, baking, crafting, collecting and enjoying lighthouses and shells, and spending time at the beach. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed sharing her talents and the things she made with those around her. She was also a member of the Baptist church.

Ann was the loving mother of John A. Beglin of Tampa, Florida; Jeffrey A. Beglin of Mapleton, Utah; Julie A. Hildebrandt of Gold Canyon, AZ; and Jason A. Beglin of St. Augustine, Florida. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Rebecca Canter and Nancy Starkey.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Denver McKitrick; her husband, David Burton; and her brother, Steve McKitrick.

Ann will be remembered for her creativity, her love of family, and the simple things that brought her happiness—from the beauty of the beach and lighthouses to the warmth of a handmade creation or something delicious baked with love. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
