Ann Adamson Tuttle passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Orem, Utah. Ann was born, December 2, 1922 to Alice Ann Money and Joseph Allen Adamson in Lake Shore, Utah. She loved her life on the farm, particularly helping her father with the horses. Ann began singing as a child and enjoyed using that talent all her life in church, school and community choirs. Her childhood friends and cousins became lifelong friends.
Ann married Dean L. Tuttle May 26, 1941, in Provo, Utah. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on May 11, 1955. They were blessed with three children, DeAnn, Marie and Byron Lynn. During their early years of marriage, Ann moved to be near her husband in California, Florida and Oklahoma as he served in the Army and Army Air Corps during World War II. The family relocated again to Texas as Dean prepared to serve in the Korean War with the Utah National Guard. Ann was a faithful military wife who took care of their young family without complaint while Dean served their country.
After the family returned to Spanish Fork, Ann enjoyed being active in the neighborhood and community. She loved working in her yard and spending time at the family cabin near Strawberry Reservoir.
When she became a widow at age 47, Ann began working as a Title I Aide at Rees Elementary School. She loved working with the students and teachers and was recognized by the district and by the state for her outstanding service. Ann was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. She enjoyed serving in Primary, Scouts and as Ward Relief Society President. She was also a dedicated ordinance worker at the Provo Temple serving two days a week for over 22 years.
Ann found great joy in being with family, neighbors and friends. She was blessed with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who made her “golden” years truly golden. Ann is survived by her daughter, Marie Tuttle, and her son, Lynn (Mary Jane) Tuttle, both of Orem. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean and by her daughter DeAnn; siblings Marie Tuckett, Mary Hansen and Allen Adamson.
A special thank you to the staff at Aspen Senior Activity Center who added joy and new friends to the last year of Ann’s life and to Symbii Hospice who helped with Ann’s end of life care with such tenderness.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

June 3, 2020 at 4:29 amMrs. Tuttle was always smiling, she a warmth and love that was undeniable, she had a certain peace about her. She was a kind and caring neighbor — I remember her sitting under the weeping willow tree in her front yard in the red and white metal lawn chairs. Her yard was as immaculate as she was. My sympathies to Marie, Lynn and Mary Jane.
