Andrea Goheen Lott November 18, 1972 - November 14, 2022

Andrea Goheen Lott, 49, of Spanish Fork, Utah, lived big, and she loved big. This passionate soul blessed the family of Bob and Karen Wigington with her arrival on November 18, 1972, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After suffering a heart attack a month earlier she passed from this life unexpectedly on November 14, 2022.

Andrea is preceded in death by her husband Gregory Louis Goheen and her father, Robert Allen Wigington. She is survived by her husband Jeremy Lott, their children, Alec Dean Lott (19), Gabriel Buchan Goheen (18), Bethany Faith Lott (17), Jordan Leeann Goheen (17), and Brielle Raelyn Lott (15); her mother, Karen Sperry Wigington; and her siblings, Kristin (Wade) Dudley, Marci (Scott) Sargent, Quinn (Sara) Wigington, and Aaron (Amy) Wigington.

Andrea, later nicknamed Dre, grew up with her two older sisters (who called her Andy) and two younger brothers in Alpine, Utah. She was both a free spirit and a supportive friend. She accepted people for who they were no matter their background and expected them to be as true to her as she was to them. Next to people, she loved dogs (and hated cats). Throughout her life, Dre pretty much always had a dog.

Dre blazed her own trails and didn’t let anyone get in the way of her sense of direction, family included. She often made quick friends with other black sheep, many of which she kept as life long confidants in her inner circle.

In her career, she quickly rose through the ranks of management and ended as a Director of Operations for the US and Europe. She demanded and received respect and looked after her client accounts, down to the finest points. Those that reported to her had not only a strong leader but a guiding mentor that lifted each of them to excel in their careers. Everyone knows that Dre is the best bad-ass boss they’ve ever had.

Her personal life was no different. Whether she was planning a family camping trip, a holiday celebration, or world travel, Dre had an eye for detail and an intuition for making people feel comfortable and at home. If you needed a place to stay, you wanted Dre to host you—and cook for you—in her home.

Dre found a soul mate in Greg Goheen, and they were married in Reno, Nevada, on the Fourth of July, 1998. Their plans to begin their family got off to a painfully slow start with three miscarriages. Dre and Greg were ecstatic to finally welcome Gabriel in January 2004 and Jordan just over a year later in September 2005.

A devoted mother, Dre taught her children manners and made sure they could conduct a complete conversation with any adult. She was often heard saying, “I have the best kids,” or “We were made for each other.”

She balanced parenthood with her career as she supported Greg who began declining in health after a work accident. In 2011 she lost her husband Greg, her job, and her house within 2 months of each other. It was through the support of an amazing network of friends that she made it through the next 2 years as she recovered from this tragedy.

Dre restarted her career in Atlanta, Georgia before landing back in Utah, where Dre met her second great love, Jeremy Lott.

Dre found a kindred spirit in Jeremy and they went everywhere and did everything together. The two created a home in Spanish Fork, Utah, and worked together for the best interests of their 5 teenage children—Dre’s two, Jeremy’s three, their Aussiedoodle, Cowboy, and their cat, Buttercup. Dre and Jeremy officially blended their families in a beautiful ceremony at Nelson Ghost Town, Nevada, on December 29, 2020. For the 3 years Jeremy was blessed to have her, they made a long list of wonderful memories with their children.

There was a passion inside of Dre that was unstoppable. Anything she believed, she stood by. If there was a cause that spoke to her, she would take it up and not back down. She wasn’t fazed by who might agree or disagree. And if you went toe to toe with her, you were almost certain to lose. Dre was simply the person you wanted in your corner, whether as a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a coworker, or a friend. It’s a passion that will continue to burn inside of all who knew her and all who loved her.

The family welcomes all who would like to pay their respects to Dre at a viewing to be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Walker Mortuary, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, from 10 am to noon. There will also be a Celebration of Life for her at 6:00 pm the same day at the Riverbridge Event Center in Spanish Fork on 1225 S. Dre was one of the most vivacious and courageous individuals I ever had the pleasure to have as a friend. When we met, there was an instant’ “sisterhood” connection. I know her family knows how much she loved them and I am more than certain she knows how many lives she touched. She will be forever in my heart.

    Love, Dee
