Amberly Buys Gwin was born January 19, 1978, to Kenneth and Marion Buys. She was an adorable baby girl, the youngest of her siblings Lori, Pamela, Gordon, Kristi, and Adrianne.
She was funny and had a bubbly personality. She filled her home with joy and laughter and tried to make people happy wherever she went. She was generous and loved to give gifts to those she loved. She loved people and was friends with everyone. She did not give up easily and pursued her goals despite her struggles with depression and anxiety.
She worked hard through school and graduated from Payson High. She studied cosmetology and loved to cut and style hair. She had many loyal clients who she considered friends. She wanted to share her love of cosmetology and continued her study to become a licensed cosmetology instructor. Her health, however, kept her from working as one. She desired to return to her career when her health improved and spoke of it often.
She pursued and won her love, David. They were married on February 16, 2001 and filled his life with love and joy. She loved their son Kenyan with all her heart. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. She, David and Kenyan were sealed in the Mt Timpanogos Temple February 16, 2010.
She was taken too soon on November 28, 2025, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband David, and her son Kenyan, her father Kenneth, and her siblings Lori, Pamela, Gordon, and Adrianne.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 902 West 400 North in Payson, Utah. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.

December 3, 2025 at 8:59 pmI’m saddened to hear the news of Amber. We grew up together from Grade school .We had many great times growing up from watching her at her best clogging we both did dance together at the crouch’s house. Many sleep overs and late nights bothering Annie in her room . Amber wrecking her moms car backing out of the driveway! not a fun time …Baby sitting for Kristy we were never apart we were inseparable . We had our good time and bad as teens do, lost touch over time and grew apart . Always will be in my heart.
To Annie and Buys Family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending my Love, she will be truly missed

December 4, 2025 at 2:06 amI am so sorry to hear that Amber passed away. Amber and I went to school together and I always considered her a friend. She was absolutely hilarious. Although I haven’t had the privilege of bumping into her in the grocery store or around town for many years, she will missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave and the Buys Family.
