Lynn Tolley Livestream Broadcast

Lynn Jack Tolley, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 19 at his home in Salem, Utah, surrounded by his beloved family.
Lynn was born on July 27, 1941, in Payson, Utah, to Jack LaMar Tolley and Lois Money. He spent the first 26 years of his life in West Wendover, Nevada. During his early school years, he attended a one- room schoolhouse where a single teacher taught students from first through tenth grade. Some years, he was the brightest, the dumbest, and the only student in his grade. With no high school in Wendover at the time, Lynn moved to Spanish Fork, Utah, to live with relatives and graduated from Spanish Fork high school there, where he served as Senior Class President.
He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central States Mission. While there, he served as a counselor to the Mission President in the Mission Presidency.
After returning home, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He played shortstop for the BYU baseball team. Later, he earned an MBA from the University of Utah. While attending BYU, he met the love of his life, Myrna Eva Lamb. They were married in the Manti, Utah Temple and recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Lynn served as an officer in the United States Air Force, flying in B-52 aircraft and completing over 200 missions in Vietnam. His military service earned him the Distinguished Flying Cross and several other commendations. After seven years of military service, he began a long and successful career with Dow Chemical, where he served as the Managing Director of Human Resources of North America. His assignments took him and his family to Michigan, Texas, and California.
In retirement, Lynn and Myrna served missions in Uganda and Jordan. They also participated in humanitarian efforts in Tanzania, Botswana (twice), Uganda (twice), the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Pakistan.
Although he served in many leadership positions in the Church, his very favorite calling was being a home teacher.
Lynn was deeply grateful for the many blessings of his life: his remarkable wife and family, cherished relatives and friends, the country he loved and served, and especially his testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna, and their children: Brian (Jill) of Springville, Utah; Jill of Springville, Utah; Kevin (RaShelle) of Eastvale, California; Kyle of Midvale, Utah; Kristen (Joel) of Waipahu, Hawaii.
Lynn leaves behind eight grandsons, nine granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. His legacy of faith, service, and love will be cherished by all who knew him.
A viewing will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church building, located at 60 South Main Center Street, Salem, Utah, on Saturday, July 26. Viewing at 9:30 am with the funeral to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at the Spanish Fork cemetery with military honors. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Davita Kidney Care in Salem, Utah, for their years of love and service.
