Taiton Anderson-King–lovingly known as Tait, Taitor-tot, Taitorbugs, Gizmo, Kiddo, and Buggy–left us too early from a bull riding accident on May 4, 2024, at the age of 19.
Born on January 7, 2005, in Reno, NV, Tait lived life on his terms, full of passion and curiosity. His compassionate heart, creative spirit, sense of humor, and adventurous nature were evident from a young age. His fun mischievous side will be greatly missed. Tait was a beacon of light in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his light will continue on in their hearts.
In the quieter moments, Tait could be found working the farm with Grandpa Danny, hunting with his family, dreaming about climbing power towers, aspiring to ride professionally in the PBR, and raising cattle. He was an ambitious boy with many dreams, and we have no doubt he would have conquered them all. Tait’s love for his family, friends, bulls, and everything “cowboy” was the cornerstone of his life. He always reminded us to live our dreams as he did the same.
He also loved spending time shooting with Grandpa Anderson. The weeks leading up to the accident, Tait was able to spend precious quality time with his Mudder and Poppy in Oregon.
Tait discovered his love for bull riding at a young age and pursued the sport with such vigor that it was impossible not to be swept up in his excitement. He approached every rodeo with bravery and determination, embracing a sense of victory regardless of the score. His experiences at rodeos were not merely his own, but also shared joyously with his family and friends, who were–and always will be–his biggest cheerleaders. When he wasn’t riding bulls or spending time with loved ones, Tait liked to channel his creative energy into hands-on work, such as drawing or fixing cars. He had an adventurous spirit and was always ready for the next exciting experience.
Tait was, and is, a cherished son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He now rides the legends in the heavenly rodeo, cheered on by his beloved grandparents, Ted and D’Ann Christianson, who preceded him. Tait’s adventurous and ambitious nature significantly impacted many lives, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
He is survived by his mother Megan Anderson, and his father Roy Anderson, whose last name Tait intended to take on after graduating high school. Tait considered himself a daddy’s boy from the very first day he met Roy, and nothing will ever change that bond they shared. Tait is also survived by his younger siblings, Jesse and Haisley.
As we mourn Tait’s loss, we find solace in the gospel of Jesus Christ–teachings that Tait held close to his heart. In John 14:2-3, Jesus assures us, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” We believe that Tait is now in a better place, living his dreams in the heavenly realms.
Please share your favorite memories and pictures of Tait on his memorial page. Your stories will help keep his spirit alive and bring comfort to his family during this difficult time.

May 14, 2024 at 1:47 pmI met Tait little over a year ago when I invited him and another to start traveling with me to rodeos. That summer we went to many rodeos together and shared many memories, from sweet victories to heartbreaking defeats. There was never a dull moment around him and I cherish every moment I spent with. I was there the day he passed and watched the accident unfold. Before hand Tait and I were talking about many things such as the event we were preparing for that following weekend but we mostly were talking about what were planning on getting on that evening as most bull riders do. He was so excited to able to get on Larry again because of the history they had and when he was preparing in the chute I couldn’t help but notice the smile Tait had on his face. I know for a fact up until the accident occurred he was grinning from ear to ear. Tait will and is already missed by many. My heart goes out to his family and other friends through this tragic time. I do know that he is in a better place however and is smiling down on us all. I’m going to really miss his enthusiastic spirit this summer and every bull I get on now will be in Taits honor. May he rest in peace.

May 14, 2024 at 8:40 pmTait has always been such a good brother to me. I don’t even remember the last time Tait called me anything but “sis”. He was always so protective and ready to get after any boy that I liked if they did something wrong. Almost anyone that knows my family knew Tait. He tagged along with us everywhere. I always loved when Tait and Lane would come and bug me at night to tell me about a girl or something they had done over the weekend. I’m so greatful I got to have him in my life.
