Lyle Erving Comte, age 72, passed away on December 11, 2023, unexpectedly in his home in Spanish Fork, Utah. He was born on October 31st, 1951, in Port Arthur, TX to Pearl Deline Waller and Lee Irving Comte Jr.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Pearl, his father, Lee, two brothers, Richard Beyard and Buford Lee Comte and two sisters, Cindy Lou Roberts and Angel Lita Comte. He is survived by his wife, Shasta Danielle Elizabeth Comte, his sister Linda Elaine Faulkner of Oklahoma, his sister Irma Bell Garcia of California, his five children , Theodore Lee Comte of California, Todd (Deedra) Comte of Utah, Ryan (Samantha) Comte of Utah, Jody Comte of Utah, and Scott (Sara) Comte of Missouri, his three step children, William Devlin, Jonathon Devlin, and Thaniel Devlin, his grandchildren; Hunter, Marley, Nolan, Roman, Pearl, Hamilton, and Berkley.
Lyle, beloved husband, father and friend, served over 20 years in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, Germany and Korea. He loved collecting hot wheels, coins, golf balls and many other items. He was always going out of his way to help others in need by opening up his home to over 17 people and handing a $20 bill to someone on the streets. His life was full of love, compassion and adventure. He lived a good life leaving behind many who will miss him.
A Memorial Service is planned by the family to be held Friday, December 22, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 255 South 700 East, Provo, Utah.
